ARCAM — Model City Haven-Stad

Speculative visual storytelling

Delivered 2025

Digital collages for an interactive installation about life in Haven-Stad in 2075.

01 Overview

I contributed to ARCAM's interactive Model City Haven-Stad installation by designing digital collages for five mini-maquettes and imaginative audio stories set in 2075.

02 Challenge

Five future perspectives needed a distinct visual identity while still reading as one public installation about a shared city.

03 My role

I designed the digital collages that accompanied stories told from the perspective of a bird, harbour worker, family, student, and creative business.

04 Process

  1. 01Interpreted each audio narrative into a visual point of view.
  2. 02Built a consistent collage language across five different scenarios.
  3. 03Adjusted the imagery to support public reflection after each story.

05 Outcome

A coordinated set of speculative collages that made the future scenarios more engaging and relatable.

06 Methods

Visual research · Digital collage · Scenario interpretation · Public storytelling

07 Reflection

Speculative work becomes more useful when it gives audiences a concrete perspective from which to imagine change rather than presenting one fixed future.
